I'm Riley Wilkinson: a child pretending to be a grownup! For the last 25 years, I've designed and developed toys, games, activities, apps, and entertainment for kids, families and adults.
From wood puzzles to card games to talking electronics, I've worked as a designer, art director, and creative director for toy and product companies. My sketchbooks are filled with scribbles and circles.
Years of fun include time with Harlequin Children's Educational Publishing, Educational Insights, MGA Entertainment, Maker Media, Mattel Creations and American Girl. I've had fun and laughs with smart, nice children’s publishers including Scholastic and DK. Uppercase and Communication Arts have shown my work.
My favorite invention so far: The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game, illustrated by Lucia Gaggiotti. Sold in countries around the globe, this award-winning preschool matching game has sold over a million copies since it was released. With nearly 5,000 five-star Amazon reviews, the award-winning game has won awards and the hearts of children. The game inspired development of 4 sister games and was published as a board book by Candlewick.
Loves: product scouting, meeting inventors and being one, product development, design, writing, and seeing it all come to life in factories overseas. I've learned to transform ideas into sellable, giggle-filled toys and games.
The HOT (106 degrees today) Sonoran Desert in Arizona is my home. I've pretended to grow up in Arizona, California, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
