National Maker Faire: Site and Social Media Design

National Maker Faire launch site in collaboration with the White House. Role: copywriting, design, and creative direction.

This past summer, the National Maker Faire in Washington D.C. kicked off a weeklong celebration of making. Our goal was to quickly launch a site that would initially capture email addresses and then later on house all relevant information about the event.

Inspired by a magazine cover Michael illustrated, my vision of a cafe run by animals came to life. Each piece features characters engaging in various food-themed activities, and they're appropriate for both boys and girls.
